Gaius Coponius
C. Coponius
also: Gaius Coponius, Coponius
One of two learned brothers (with his brother Titus) who hosted the Alexandrian envoy Dio and grieved at his death; possibly identical with the C. Coponius who later commanded a Pompeian fleet. Named in the Pro Caelio among Caelius's character witnesses.
