Gaius Fannius

C. Fannius (cos. 122)

also: Gai filius, C. Fannius son of Gaius

Consul of 122 BC (with Domitius), the C. Fannius son of Gaius who left a thoroughly good and noble speech on the allies and the Latin name, against C. Gracchus. Cicero (Brutus 99-100) defends its authenticity against the rumour that Persius or several nobles wrote it.
