C. Fannius (son of Marcus)

also: C. Fannius M. filius, Gaius Fannius son of Marcus

Son of Marcus and son-in-law of C. Laelius, harsher in character and speech; pupil of Panaetius and author of a history written with some elegance. Cicero (Brutus 99-101) distinguishes him from the C. Fannius (son of Gaius) who delivered the speech against C. Gracchus.
