C. Fimbria
also: Gaius Fimbria
C. Flavius Fimbria, consul 104 BC with C. Marius. A new man of forensic ability, he is praised by Cicero among the Marii and Caelii as a model of advancement by personal exertion (Verr. 2.5.181; Brut. 129). He is distinct from his violent and notorious son, the legate of Flaccus who tried to murder Q. Scaevola at Marius's funeral (Pro Rosc. Am. 33-34).
