Gaius Manlius

Catiline's chief military lieutenant, a former Sullan centurion who raised and commanded the rebel army camped in the gorges of Etruria near Faesulae in 63 BC. Cicero names him as the man who would take up arms on a fixed day and to whose 'Manlian camp' Catiline finally fled.
