Gaius Norbanus

C. Norbanus, tribune of the plebs 103 BC (prosecutor of Q. Servilius Caepio), praetor c. 89, governor of Sicily c. 89-88 (in which capacity Cicero cites him for the calm peace of the island during the Social War, Verr. 2.5.8; 2.3.117), consul 83 BC with L. Cornelius Scipio. He was a Marian; after Sulla's victory he fled to Rhodes and killed himself.
