Plebeian Papirius, an orator and senator killed in the massacre carried out by the praetor L. Iunius Brutus Damasippus in 82 BC just before Sulla's final victory (Fam. 9.21). Cicero rates him the only Carbo of any worth to the commonwealth. Distinct from C. Papirius Carbo cos. 120 (person:c-papirius-carbo-cos120).
