Gaius Scribonius Curio
C. Curio (the grandfather)
also: C. Curio, Gaius Curio, Curio
A notably distinguished orator of the late 2nd century BC, grandfather of Cicero's contemporary Curio; famous for his speech for Ser. Fulvius on a charge of incest. Cicero (Brutus 110, 122-124) judges his talent high but his incest speech childish in places, and wonders he never reached the consulship.
