Gaius Sulpicius Gallus

C. Sulpicius Gallus (orphan's father)

also: C. Galli, Gaius Gallus

The C. Gallus whose orphaned son Galba commended to the people, weeping, at his own trial (Brutus 90). Distinct in role here from the astronomer-orator C. Sulpicius Gallus of Brutus 78; Cicero links the boy's tears to the recent memory of his illustrious father.
