A wealthy Roman woman of philosophical interests and a close friend of Cicero, with extensive financial interests (loans, debt-claims, and landed holdings) in the province of Asia. In Fam. 13.72 (46 BC) Cicero presses the proconsul P. Servilius to assist her affairs, citing a senatorial decree concerning the heirs of C. Vennonius.
