Charmides

An Epicurean and close friend of the Academic Arcesilas. In De Finibus 5.94 Cicero relates that when Charmides visited the gout-stricken Arcesilas and left downcast, Arcesilas called him back to say that none of the pain had reached from his feet and chest to his mind.
