Cn. Lentulo

Cn. Cornelius Lentulus Clodianus, consul 72 BC (with L. Gellius Publicola; defeated by Spartacus), censor 70, princeps senatus. He had served as legate in Sicily during the Servile War and is named as a witness to its quiet there (Verr. 2.5.15; cf. Pro lege Manilia 68). Cicero refers to his censorship and to attacks on him by tribunes (Dom. 124).
