Cornelius lictor

also: Verres's lictor Cornelius

Cornelius, Verres's lictor at Lampsacum in 80 BC, killed by the household of Philodamus during the riot that followed Verres's attempted rape of his daughter (Verr. 2.1.67-69). His death was the pretext for the savage condemnation of Philodamus and his son.
