Demetrius the gymnasiarch of Tyndaris, an eminent Sicilian Greek who deposed at Verr. 2.4.92 to the public-cost transport of the Mercury statue removed by Verres and to the order given by the proagorus Sopater. He recurs as a leading witness against the governor.
