Epicurus

also: Epicuri, Epicurus, Epicurio

Epicurus (341–270 BC), founder of the Epicurean philosophical school, owned a house and garden in Athens (the famous 'Garden') that served as the school's cult centre. The ruined walls of this property are the object of dispute in Fam. 13.1, with Patro seeking to preserve or rebuild on the site.
