Eubulides of Herbita, a Sicilian Greek of high local reputation whose son was likewise imprisoned by Verres in connection with the fleet disaster off Helorus; he came to Syracuse to plead with the governor and is one of the named parents in the dramatic scene at Verr. 2.5.110-114.
