Eurypylus

A Greek warrior at Troy who, wounded in battle, appears in a Latin tragedy (drawn from Ennius/the Iliad, book 11) addressing Patroclus and bearing his wound with an even mind. Cicero contrasts his soldierly composure with the unmanly wailing of the raw recruit.
