Heracleus Segestanus

also: Heracleus of Segesta

Heracleus of Segesta, a noble Sicilian of his city's chief family. Detained at Syracuse by eye-trouble at the time of the Helorus disaster, he was nevertheless thrown into chains and executed on the false charge of cowardice (Verr. 2.5.111-114). One of the named victims of the fleet trial.
