Herennium

also: Herennius

Herennius, a Roman citizen and banker resident at Africa, brought to Syracuse and there beheaded by Verres on a charge of being a Sertorian fugitive, despite recognition by more than a hundred fellow citizens. He gives rise to one of the standing examples of Verres's violation of citizen rights (Verr. 2.1.14; cf. 2.5.155). Otherwise unknown.
