L. Scipione

also: Lucius Scipio

L. Cornelius Scipio Asiaticus, consul 190 BC, brother of Scipio Africanus and victor over Antiochus III at Magnesia; he celebrated a triumph for the victory. His later prosecution (the trial of the Scipios) shadows the family in Cicero's later thought (Verr. 2.1.55; Pro Sest. 7; Pro rege Deiot. 36).
