L. Sisennae

also: Lucius Sisenna

L. Cornelius Sisenna, praetor 78 BC, historian of the Social and Sullan civil wars, an admired stylist (Brut. 228), and one of Hortensius's co-counsel in defending Verres (Verr. 2.2.110; 2.4.33). He died in 67 BC as Pompey's legate against the pirates.
