Lucius Cossinius

Cossinius

also: L. Cossinius, L. Cossinio, Cossinio, Cossinius

Roman citizen and friend of Cicero, linked also to T. Pomponius Atticus; shared the same voting tribe as Servius Sulpicius Rufus (tribulis), a bond Cicero exploits in his recommendation. He is the patron of the freedman L. Cossinius Anchialus, who is the actual subject of the letter (Fam. 13.23). Otherwise unattested beyond this reference.
