L. Fannio

also: Lucius Fannius

L. Fannius (with L. Magius), Roman businessmen resident at Myndus in Caria who, after acquiring a swift skiff from Verres, sailed it to Sertorius and Mithridates and were formally declared public enemies by the senate (Verr. 2.1.87-89). They reappear elsewhere as type-figures of Roman defection to the East.
