Son of L. Iulius Caesar (cos. 64) and kinsman of the dictator; a Pompeian who served in the African war and was put to death after Thapsus in 46 BC despite the family tie. Cited at Fam. 9.7 as proof of Caesar's severity toward relatives. Distinct from his father, person:l-iulius-caesar-cos64.
