Praetor of 82 BC and a Marian partisan who, on the eve of Sulla's victory, ordered the killing of several leading senators (including the pontifex maximus Q. Mucius Scaevola and the C. Papirius Carbo Arvina of Fam. 9.21); captured and executed by Sulla after the battle of the Colline Gate.
