Freedman of L. Regulus, commended by Cicero to C. Munatius in Fam. 13.60. Cicero loved him for his own sake on account of great services rendered during Cicero's exile, when Trypho braved many perils and repeatedly sailed in deep winter for Cicero's welfare.
