Originally from Catina (Sicily) but enrolled as a decurion at Neapolis; enfranchised along with other Neapolitan residents before the Social War citizenship grants. His brother died recently at Catina leaving an inheritance; he also has longstanding business interests in Sicily. Cicero commends him to the proconsul Acilius Glabrio in 13.30.
