L. Octavio C. Cotta consulibus

L. Octavius, consul 75 BC with C. Aurelius Cotta; in his consulship the senate transferred the Sicilian wine, oil, and minor tithes from the quaestors at Syracuse to public auction at Rome (Verr. 2.3.18). He governed Cilicia as proconsul and died there in 74.
