Patrician Papirius, dictator (with L. Papirius Cursor as master of the horse) in the 415th year after the founding of Rome and consul four years later with K. Duilius (Fam. 9.21). Cicero notes he was the first of the gens to drop the older spelling Papisius in favour of Papirius.
