Early patrician of the gens Papiria, named by Cicero (Fam. 9.21) as the first chief of the patrician Papirii; consul and later censor with L. Sempronius Atratinus in the 312th year after the founding of Rome (mid-5th century BC by the traditional reckoning), when the name was still spelled Papisius.
