Lucius Livineius Regulus

L. Regulus

A very particular friend of Cicero whose ruin (calamitas) made Cicero the more attentive to him; patron of the freedman L. Livineius Trypho. Mentioned in Fam. 13.60 (c. 46 BC). Distinct from M. Atilius Regulus, the early-Republican exemplum.
