Senator and one of Cicero's four legates during his proconsulship of Cilicia (51--50 BC); offered the legateship by Cicero unsolicited, when others had been refused. Served alongside Cicero in the Parthian-frontier campaign and was the subject of a recommendation to Q. Minucius Thermus over a dispute with the city of Sardis.
