Marcus Cornutus

M. Cornutus, a man of praetorian rank in the Social War, named at Pro Fonteio 43 in the catalogue of seasoned legates serving in 90 BC. Later praetor in 56 (probably the same man), he served Brutus and Cassius as urban praetor in 44; he killed himself when proscribed in 43 (cf. Phil. 14.37).
