Marcus Terentius

M. Terentius

also: M. Varro, M. Terentius, Terentius

Quaestor of M. Iunius Brutus, addressed in Fam. 13.10. Came into Cicero's circle early; was active in the publicani partnerships (with heavy losses); carried Cicero's letters to Caesar from Brundisium ca. 47 BC. Named 'M. Varro' in the Latin MS (a copyist error for 'M. Terentius', as the English makes clear). Distinct from M. Terentius Varro the polymath.
