Consul of 66 BC, an elder consular who in late January and February 49 BC was among the senators with Cicero on the Campanian coast weighing whether to follow Pompey out of Italy. Distinct from the triumvir M. Aemilius Lepidus and from Mamercus Aemilius Lepidus Livianus.
