Half-sister of Q. Metellus Celer and Q. Metellus Nepos and third wife of Pompey the Great (married c. 79 BC, divorced 62 BC). In Fam 5.2 Cicero recalls enlisting her, on the strength of her tie to Pompey, to deter Nepos from his attack.
