Naevius Turpio

P. Naevius Turpio, a Roman convicted of repetundae in 75 BC under the praetor C. Sacerdos; rehabilitated by Verres as one of his chief agents (procursor et emissarius) in tithe-collection, false prosecutions, and inheritance-grabs (Verr. 2.2.22; 2.3.90; 2.5.108). The standing type-name in the speeches for Verres's auxiliary thugs.
