Nestor

The aged king of Pylos in the Iliad, proverbial for long-lived wisdom and eloquent counsel to the younger Greek commanders at Troy. Cicero adopts the Nestor role in Fam. 9.14, presenting himself as the seasoned adviser whose counsel even an Agamemnon would honour.
