Oenomaus

also: Oenomao, Oenomaus, King Oenomaus

Mythical king of Pisa in Elis and father of Hippodamia, who challenged her suitors to a chariot race on pain of death until Pelops defeated and killed him. He appears in the genealogy of the house of Atreus that Cicero quotes from tragedy (the line on Thyestes).
