Consul of 138 BC who as a private citizen led the killing of Ti. Gracchus in 133; held an inquiry (with D. Brutus) into the Silan-forest massacre. Accius reported him vehement and keen in speaking (Brutus 85, 107). He died during his consulship and was a match for any in speaking Latin (Brutus 128).
