Publius Licinius Crassus

P. Crassus

also: Publius Crassus, young Crassus

Younger son of the triumvir M. Crassus, husband of Cornelia; served brilliantly under Caesar in Gaul (commander of cavalry against the Aquitani) and accompanied his father to Parthia, where he died in the cavalry charge that broke at Carrhae in June 53 BC. Cicero's favourite of the rising Republican nobility.
