Publius Gallonius

Gallonius

also: Gallonius, Galloni, P. Gallonius

A notorious gourmand and spendthrift auctioneer attacked in the satires of Lucilius and cited by Cicero (De Finibus 2.24-25) as the type of the man who dines lavishly but never "dines well." Laelius the Wise reproaches him in the quoted Lucilian verses for squandering everything on prawn and sturgeon.
