Roman jurist and pontifex maximus, consul 133 BC, one of the founders of Roman legal science and father of Quintus Mucius Scaevola the Pontifex. Cited for a juristic responsum on the surround (ambitus) of a house. Identification of the Topica's "P. Scaevola" is debated among scholars.
