P. Plautius Hypsaeus

also: Hypsaeus, Hypsaei

A close partisan and former quaestor of Pompey; in 56 BC his and Libo's open canvassing helped fix the impression that Pompey coveted the Egyptian command. Later prosecuted for ambitus in 52 BC.
