Equestrian agent (pro magistro) of the Roman publican company that held the contract on the scriptura, the pasturage-tax of the Asian provinces. A long-standing intimate of Cicero, recommended to P. Silius in 51--50 BC for help in concluding settlement-agreements (pactiones) with the cities of Bithynia.
