A Roman senator sent (with Q. Baebius Tampilus) as one of the envoys whom the Senate dispatched to Hannibal over the siege of Saguntum at the outbreak of the Second Punic War. Cicero cites the embassy as a precedent for sending legates only to a foreign enemy.
