A flamboyant Roman traveller and friend of Pompey whom Cicero met in Cilicia in 50 BC; Cicero calls him a great rascal (magnus nebulo), travelling with chariots, a litter, a baboon, and wild asses, and whose effects later proved to contain compromising portraits of married ladies.
