Parrhasius of Ephesus

Parrhasius

A leading Greek painter of the late fifth and early fourth century BC, famed for mastery of line and illusionism (the contest with Zeuxis). Cicero pairs him with the sculptor Polyclitus as a supreme exemplar of Greek visual art.
