Philodamus

Philodamus, the leading citizen of Lampsacus at the time of Verres's stop in the city in 80 BC; his daughter was the object of Verres's attempted rape, and the riot which followed cost Verres's lictor his life. Philodamus and his son were executed at Verres's instigation, a major item of the trial's first book (Verr. 2.1.63-85).
