Phylarchus Centuripinus

Phylarchus of Centuripae, a leading citizen of his city by birth, virtue, and wealth; he testified at the trial to Verres's seizure of the horse-trappings said to have belonged to King Hiero (Verr. 2.4.29) and to the general practice of search-and-extort by the Sicilian magistrates under the governor (Verr. 2.4.50).
